An exciting time in the car world…

As you will hear on the news next week, car sales are getting well and truly back to pre-COVID levels.  Not only is that good news for the industry, it suggests buyers have more confidence - but I doubt you will hear the positive case in the media, who seem obsessed with EVs.

It’s an exciting time for us, as in April we launch two new small petrol hybrid cars, probably the very last new small non-EV cars to be introduced into the UK. It’s hard to believe that what used to be the biggest sector of the market, small city cars, like the Fiesta, are disappearing - but fortunately for us, both MG and Suzuki have brand new models to be launched in April.

It’s reassuring to know some manufacturers are still going to make and sell what car buyers want, as so many are deserting the ‘easy to park’, ‘nip to the shops’, ‘pick the kids up from school’ etc car that so many want, rather than expecting everyone to want or be able to charge an EV!

"Consumer choice is the essence of a vibrant market. It's about giving people what they want, not just what we think they should have." - Richard Branson
