£500 Donation to Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Luscombe’s Leeds the award winning Suzuki, Mitsubishi and MG Dealers in Leeds recently discovered another Suzuki dealer had 'borrowed/taken/stolen' (call it what you will), over 350 images of their new Suzuki cars. Admittedly, you might not think that's such a big deal, but when you consider the investment needed to produce these photos: Full-time photographer, re-developing a dedicated photography area, high-end camera equipment, valeting department to ensure cars look their best, plus hundreds of man-hours etc, it soon adds up. Let's assume £10 per photo, and it becomes quite apparent why someone may want to save themselves the trouble and just nick theirs!

So, what did they do? Wanting to avoid all the stresses and hassles of legal proceedings, Luscombe’s thought of a better idea... They proposed that the company concerned make a £500 donation to a West Yorkshire based charity, which they sensibly accepted.

Luscombe’s were keen to give it to a charity close to their customers' hearts, and one that would make a difference in West Yorkshire, so they ran a post on Facebook asking their followers to tag a deserving charity with their reasons as to why that charity should receive the donation.

There was overwhelming support for Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which, as an independent charity, rely on the generosity of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire.  

Says MD Robin Luscombe, “We are delighted to be able to donate £500 to such a worthy cause which provides a life-saving rapid response emergency service in Yorkshire to 5 million people across 4 million acres, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, attending nearly 1,600 incidents a year, taking patients to the most relevant treatment centre for the injuries in the quickest time possible”.
