A friend in need…

I think almost everyone will help out a friend, especially a friend in need.  However, the efforts of Kevin Sinfield this week, to raise money and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease, that has crippled his friend Rob Burrows, has been outstanding.

I doubt anyone has gone the extra mile to help someone to the extent Kevin did this week, running 101 miles in 24 hours. It was a truly remarkable effort, and an amazing sign of unrivalled friendship, especially when the benefits are unlikely to provide a solution for his mate. But amongst the benefits are a remarkable sense of achievement, satisfaction and that lovely warm feeling you get inside when you really help someone, which is far more than any money in the world can buy. 

Above all, this is proof, if it was needed, that emotions are a far greater motivator than money, and hopefully Kevin will now receive the recognition he deserves and become Sir Kevin Sinfield!
