The Big Issue!

In business and life in general we always have challenges to overcome, even when things are going well, it creates new problems.

In life these challenges usually hit just when you least expect them, and somehow we find a way to get through, family and friends can usually help.

In business it’s usually due to lack of custom, but currently, most businesses are under strain, due to lack of staff or product, and strong demand. This puts everyone under extra pressure.

You would think with unemployment increasing, recruiting would be easy, but just as the well-documented haulage and hospitality industries are struggling to recruit, so is the motor trade. The trade offers a great career, lots of different skills are required, the products we sell are desirable and complex, the rewards can be substantial, and the requirements to entry are not measured by university degrees, just by your work ethic and culture of wanting to help car owners.

“The kind of people that all teams need are people who are humble, hungry, and smart: humble being little ego, focusing more on their teammates than on themselves. Hungry, meaning they have a strong work ethic, are determined to get things done, and contribute any way they can. Smart, meaning not intellectually smart but inner personally smart.” Patrick Lencioni
