Robin's Diary

It's very difficult to find anything to say that isn’t related to Covid at the moment ….

Fortunately, we can all see the candlelight at the end of the tunnel starting to glow significantly brighter now, but I must say that I have been surprised how people within my own industry have been pleading to get restrictions for car dealerships lifted earlier.

March is a big month for new car sales, but as an industry, we have not suffered as badly as many others.  Having personally been a victim of Covid, and had friends hospitalised with it, I believe that we all have to take a good look in the mirror and realise one is a life or death situation, and one is a financially hard time, so no comparison.

We are now on the final strait, and I definitely don’t want us to go backwards.  We do however have to remember that disasters usually strike within sight of the finish line - we relax, we become complacent - even Liverpool FC look like they thought the job was done, and now know it certainly isn’t! So, let's stick to the guidelines, put up with it for a bit longer and hopefully be rid of it and back to normal fully in June.
