LUSCOMBE’S LEEDS SCOOP TWO AWARDS AT THE 11TH AUTO TRADER RETAILER AWARDS
Now in its 11th year, the Auto Trader Retailer Awards celebrate the very best in automotive retailing; those brands that are pushing the standard of all aspects of the industry, including digital excellence, and a commitment to exceptional customer service. During the awards ceremony, which took place at One Marylebone in London in July, a total of 12 trophies were awarded across six categories, each representing the central pillars of modern automotive retailing.
With 55 million cross platform visits each month, Auto Trader is the UK’s number one automotive website, as well as the most trusted amongst car buyers.
The winners of the Auto Trader Retailer Awards were determined by the most comprehensive judging process in the Awards’ 11-year history, which not only featured a very prestigious judging panel of experts (including senior executives from Google, Compare the Market, and uSwitch), but also the opinions of thousands of car buyers, an in-depth analysis of millions of data points from across Auto Trader’s market place, and also its first ever mystery shopping process.
No wonder Luscombe’s Leeds was described as ‘truly inspirational’ and ‘the best-of-the-best’ by Auto Trader sales director, Le Etta Pearce, who presented the awards alongside former Gadget Show presenter, Jason Bradbury.
Says MD Robin Luscombe “Winning the Customer Choice Award was a brilliant reward in recognition of the volume and content of reviews we receive on many different channels, and that alone would have been great, but then to win the Retailer of the Year Award was just simply amazing!
“Everything was taken into consideration from our detailed used car descriptions, successful mystery shopping, positive stats, consistently good reviews and impressive imagery. To be voted the best out of 13,000 dealers was very emotional, and I’ve never felt the same with any other award.
“Having started 40 years ago in the motor industry as a Parts advisor, I hope my achievements give encouragement to young people that they really can start at the bottom and work their way up. It doesn’t become easier but it does give you an amazing chance to let your staff enjoy the drug that’s produced naturally as winners, to better their lives, to give them security, job satisfaction and pride, none of which can be bought – that’s why they are so good when you have worked very hard to earn them”
