Luscombe Motors Receives National Recognition for Excellence!

Auto Trader Retailer of the Year 2020 Winner

Leeds based retailer Luscombe Motors wins top accolade at the 13th annual Auto Trader Retailer Awards 2020

Luscombe Motors, Leeds based Suzuki, Mitsubishi and MG Dealer has beaten competition from over 13,000 UK automotive retailers to receive the Retailer of the Year award at the 13th annual Auto Trader Retailer Awards this week. This is the second time Luscombe Motors has won the award, also achieving it in 2018, and being highly commended in 2019.

The Retailer of the Year award is the highest accolade a retailer can win at the Auto Trader Retailer Awards. It is awarded to those who demonstrate the very best practices in retail and consistently deliver top-quality customer experience across the whole car buying journey, from their online adverts to customer communication. 

Luscombe’s are no strangers to winning awards, having won Suzuki Dealer of the Year in 2019 and Automotive Management Best Dealership in 2020.

 “To win the Auto Trader Retailer of the Year again is hugely important for us” said Robin Luscombe, owner of Luscombe Motors in Leeds “it is not only recognition for all our hard work and determination, but more importantly it proves to us that the latest innovations we have introduced are right for the customer and set us ahead of the competition. I have to say that the victory is made all the sweeter by the fact this this is the second time we have won this prestigious award in three years.”

Despite the lockdown and COVID-19 crisis, Luscombe’s has performed well, with record-breaking levels of business between June and September.  Luscombe’s have been recruiting to cope with the increased level of business, having taken on an additional Apprentice Technician and two experienced technicians.  They still have further opportunities, although surprisingly recruitment is proving difficult, which is a sign of optimism in the industry.

The introduction of a new website has been a great initiative, offering omnichannel user experience, online, on phone, on video, or face to face sales.  The launch of the MG franchise with their extremely popular range of Electric cars has also proved very beneficial.  In conjunction with their endeavours of transparency in all they do, Luscombe’s have added technicians’ video appraisals of their used cars to their website, enabling customers to see under the skin of a car from the comfort and safety of their home, and therefore buy with confidence.
